Not Going To Our House; But Preparing to Go HOME to Heaven

Caleb began having great difficulty breathing this morning around 2:30 a.m. His breathing is erratic & he's struggling for every breath. The doctors are saying that he may not make it through the day today.

We are singing his favorite praise & worship songs to him in hopes of easing his transition from this side of heaven to the other. We know that Jesus is waiting for him with arms wide open.

We will update when the time comes. Thank you for your prayers.

  15. Caleb, you are such a brave sweet little boy. You have touched SO many people in your short, sweet life. I never got to meet you this side of heaven, but you have touched my heart in so many ways. You are one special, special little boy. You have blessed SO many people in so many ways.

Angela & Richard ... I am humbled and in awe of the type of parents you are. God knew what He was doing when He CHOSE y'all to be Caleb's parents. I am lifting ALL of you up in prayer...I pray for God to hold each one of you, that He comforts you, that He makes HIS presence known in a very real way, that He will wipe your tears, that He gives you a peace that can't be understood, and a strengh knows no boundaries. God has a plan for each of us, and though we may not understand them, His love for us never fails. Angela, as a mommy of two little boys myself, I can't imagine the pain you feel. My heart breaks with yours...and I continue to stand in prayer for you.

I am sending as many prayers and as much love as humanly possible to y'all today and in the following days.

  19. Richard, Angela, Caden, Caleb and family:

I have followed Caleb's amazing and difficult journey since day one, and have had everyone in my thoughts and prayers daily. I know this is a difficult time for all, yet at the same time it can be a most joyous time as Caleb goes "home" to be with Jesus. Please remember that I keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I have put out a special request to my daddy, who I lost in 2006, to be there to help greet Caleb. My daddy was often considered to be "Santa Claus", due in part to his look, as well as his personality and love for children. I'm sure that not only will Caleb be smiling and happy when he meets Jesus and his family that are waiting for him, but will also enjoy spending time with "Santa".

Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I believe that Caleb is a wonderful little man. As much as it may hurt those of us left behind, we also know that Caleb will be in a better place, and that God's plan for him is much bigger and much more important than what he can do here on Earth.

Just remember, Caleb will forever be your Guardian Angel to watch over you.

    All our love and prayers,

    Melissa Sheppard (FB, Hatchling Helper)

  26. Caleb and family, peace and the Love of Our Father be with you today. Caleb the angels are preparing a great celebration for your home coming. I'll see you there. Thought I'd share this with the family from Max Lacado:
"The day you die is better than the day you are born" (Eccles. 7:1). Now there is a twist. Heaven enjoys a maternity-ward reaction to funerals. Angels watch body burials the same way grandparents monitor delivery-room doors. "He'll be coming through any minute!" They can't wait to see the new arrival. While we're driving hearses and wearing black, they're hanging pink and blue streamers and passing out cigars. We don't grieve when babies enter the world. The hosts of heaven don't weep when we leave it.

    Love to you all

  29. Seth Andrews, he went to preschool with Caleb and was on his lobos football team, where we won the championship....Seth asks about Caleb on a daily bases every night before bed we have been praying for him, that Jesus would and has already healed him. I don't have words just tears, I am not even sure what im going to say to Seth since he was looking forward to passing the hat and wearing the yellow ribbon tomorrow at his baseball game, all I know to do is to say a blessing over your family, and pray that God give you comfort in this time and strenght for the next journey ahead, I believe our God is a God of healing, I believe he gave us that when Jesus died for us, I don't know past that, I just know that. I pray that God shows you in all of this answers if he hasn't already and thank you so much for sharing this very difficult time with us, im am humbled by your words, God Bless (Seth, and the Andrews Family)

    John 14:1-4
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God[; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 39. I love hearing that you guys are singing his favorite worship songs to him. Here are the words to one of my favorites about heaven.

    You Hold Me Now
    Hillsong United
    VERSE 1:
On that day when I see
All that You have for me
When I see You face to face
    There surrounded by Your grace
    All my fears swept away
In the light of Your embrace
Where Your love is all I need
    And forever I am free

    PRE CHORUS 1:
Where the streets are made of gold
In Your presence healed and whole
Let the songs of heaven rise to You alone

    CHORUS:
No weeping no hurt or pain
No suffering You hold me now
    You hold me now
No darkness no sick or lame
No hiding You hold me now
    You hold me now

    VERSE 2:
In this life I will stand
Through my joy and my pain
    Knowing there's a greater day
There's a hope that never fails
Where Your Name is lifted high
    And forever praises rise
For the glory of Your Name
    I'm believing for the day

    PRE CHORUS 2:
Where the wars and violence cease
    All creation lives in peace
Let the songs of heaven Rise to You alone

    BRIDGE:
For eternity All my heart will give
All the glory to Your Name

    Tag
Your kingdom come your will be done
Here on earth as it is in heaven

I just found out about your beautiful Caleb, and he will certainly be in our prayers tonight, as will your entire family! Without faith in the Lord, what we we have in such trying times as this.

  45. I just learned of this beautiful child this morning, and my heart is literally a lump in my throat. My prayers are rushing to you, Caleb, as I type this. I have been trying to catch up with the blog as much as possible, stopping to wipe the tears away momentarily. We live so close to you, yet never knew of your situation. Having 2 young boys myself, I can't even begin to imagine how you, Richard and Angel, are still standing! My prayers for your entire family will continue to rush your way, and I will implore anyone I pass in the streets to pray, pray, pray. I know God will be the first one to embrace him when he goes home. And remember, it's not goodbye. It's "I'll see you soon."

Caleb do not give hope. I know you are fighting as hard as you can. No body is going to say that you gave up hope, because we all know how much you have been fighting. Just know that when you are ready, God is ready for you to come Home to Him. Remember this God also knows how much your mom and dad love you and He will make sure that they are looked after.
If today is the day that Caleb goes "Home", let the angels rejoice for he is with God. Caleb has touched many, many hearts. Not because of his sickness but cause of his heart. His work here on Earth may be complete but there will be a day that we will all surely meet.
